"Single leaf, 180 by 120mm, ruled for 17 lines, with entries in a tall and slender gothic bookhand, calendar numbers and important feasts in red, each feast opening with a one-line gold initial on blue and pink grounds, two decorated border panels on recto of fine rinceaux foliage terminating in gold leaves, coloured flowerheads, and sprays of small mirrored acanthus in red and blue, a similar border panel on verso, some seventeenth- or eighteenth-century scribbles at head of recto (including the partial name ""Herman de""), marks on verso from last mounting, small spots and scuffs, else good condition"
