First edition. Very rare book about the causes, signs, prognosis and treatment of the plague. Written by Lazarus Marcquis (1574-1647), a famous Antwerp physician who studied at the universities of Leuven and Padua. He was a friend of P.P. Rubens and became a city doctor in Antwerp, attached to the Sint-Elisabethgasthuis. Not in Krivatsy ; Wellcome EPB/A/3806.3
